With a marketshare of almost 40% and an average of 5,4 million visitors a day, NU.nl is the number one news website in the Netherlands.

Since 2006 I work together with NU.nl on all aspects of their website, be it minor changes or a complete redesign. I have been the lead designer on most projects concerning the nu.nl website (and their spin-offs).

The simple & straightforward interface of NU.nl is often cited as one of the key factors of it’s success. To maintain that feeling of simplicity but at the same time keep innovating and adding new elements is one of the major challenges when working on a site like this.
